DIY little lady pillows

Several years ago (my how time fly's!) I created a little range of cushions, 3 of which where shaped,
(see group shot above, I'm not so sure about the strange little monster!)
recently, a lovely lady contacted me asking about them , it gave me the push to recreate them as I had been planning to do for some time, here they are! now all we have to do is wait for the actual panels, as soon as they arrive, i'll let you know!
if they prove popular, I'll add birds and animals and cats and dogs.......

3 little dickey birds paper craft LUCK DRAW

It may be Autumn (fall) here in new Zealand but I am still feeling very summery!
In fact these photos look more like spring time!
My little blue bird ( that I created recently) seemed a bit lonely flying about on it's own so I have created a couple of friends for him, I have also now made them printable so you can print and make a whole flock if you wish!
All you need is a craft knife (scissors), a ruler, a piece of cotton thread and craft glue (or sticky tape)

latest finds

it's quite a thrill now a days finding a fabulous piece from 1950's and 60's, so you can imagine how happy I was to find these recently, I have added the tin to my ever growing collection in the kitchen and the hand painted blue vase (or jug?) fits perfectly amongst my collection of light blue items (my favourite colour by the way, I love it teamed up with crimson red!)

I haven't been feeling to good this week, my youngest son picked up a cold and promptly passed it on to me, I really should have been taking it easy but when you love to do something, which is in my case cutting up paper, I just had to persevere, these have a bit of an Autumnal feel don't you think?

I am having so much fun hunting through my stack of magazines to find little gems to cut out and add to these collages. It's amazing what I have found, especially a huge supply of gorgeous colours!

I just had to see if it works, and here it is.

I've been flat out lately. I have finally found a day to have a little fun with some new ideas (magazine cut outs), I don't know about you though but sometimes we all need a break and my ambition to whip up a masterpiece was not to be, I need a weekend to unwind and put the scalpel away, hopefully Monday will bring better results. I like the direction I'm going with these... watch this space and Happy weekend!
