i just noticed this blog on the print and pattern blog. this is a set of the 12 days of christmas that i created for galison in the states.

and here it is, the last one in this series! yipee!

i have added a dancer to the range.

what a great day! and the weather was even fine. i sold heaps, i was surprised to find that the strawberry was the most popular!

these 2 pieces are called summer and winter. it sure feels like winter today!

a while ago i was having a coffee with my dear friend nancy and mentioned that i thought it would be a great idea for our village to have a regular market day. we are blessed to be living in a wonderful community and it would give us an opportunity to get together and  to sell a diverse range locally made crafts and produce. never one to miss a chance for a callenge (nancy has 4 kids and already runs arts and crafts classes from her home studio!) she simply said "lets do it" with those words we swung into action. we where amazed at how keen and supportive everyone has been. this sunday will be our second market. the first one at the beginning of the year was a fantastic success, we had beautiful weather, everyone turned up and had a great day. i decided this time to also have a stall and here are my wares! they are block mounts and fridge magnets, featuring some of my trade mark images. now all we have to hope for is no rain! wish me luck! i'll let you know next week, bye for now!

i should be working on my art work but  suddenly had the urge to get creative with my camera and all my found treasures!

i have just finished these 2 cuties,only 4 more to go! i hope the client likes them,what do you think?

These 4 designs are for "Gainsborough", a New Zealand bag company, they needed to be very commercial to fit a wide market, i was quite surprised he has taken them! i though he would consider them too "niche" it goes to show, you never can tell!

this is a  pattern created using an image from the Lagom card collection.it reminds me of spring, if you are on the other side of the planet you are sure to be looking forward to warm weather. its nearly autumn or "fall" for us here down under.

i am pleased to say that is still nice and warm, in fact it's nicer now than it was in summer!

for all you who think new zealand is a tropical island, let me tell you it can get pretty cold!

here are some patterns i have just completed. i will be selling them through OAFFI in the next couple of weeks.

im sorry about my lack of posts this week! i have been sooo busy creating new designs. i will post them in the next couple of days. this print is a small sample of the direction this collection is going in. as well as the 50's era i also love the 60's as it reminds me of my childhood growing up with bright happy daisy motifs on our china and our bright swirly orange and red curtains.

people often ask me what inspires me. as you can see, i am an avid collector of all things 1950's. i spend every opportunity hunting for lovely old junk; china, fabric tins, games. there is something wonderful about this period, a vibrance and optimism, fun and quirkiness. it doesn't take itself not too serious.

my poor husband, who i am sure would prefer the minimalist look has grown to except my "collections"
