bright mid century glasses galore!

I almost jumped for joy today! (well actually I did) I was visiting one of my fave treasure stores and what did I find amongst the jam jars and sherry glasses? a whole stack of the grooviest brightly printed drinking glasses. Stripey ones, spotty ones, ones with star bursts (my favourite 50's motif) As soon as I got home, I stashed away the supermarket shopping and ran up stairs to take a few photos to show you, Typical, after a few shots, the arrangement morphed into a party scene!
Oh yes, the lovely flowery tin was another of today's purchases, man I love those colours!

These 2 fun games (which I illustrated) are produced by the very innovative and stylish games company called DJECO, they are based in Paris, which probably explains why!
Another one of my favourite finds are little, Ladybird books. This one all about vehicles with personalities is particularly cute, it has a lovely soft, gentle feel. In some ways I wish I could capture this in my work, I think I'll have to give it a try when i have a moment.
Have a lovely weekend!
