Cardboard Lamp Shade

One of my treasured times of the week is Saturday and Sunday morning enjoying a freshly brewed coffee in bed with my ipad catching up on my favourite blogs.
One of these is called "the design files" it's a lovely lifestyle blog showcasing all that is lovely in Australian design. I was browsing in the craft section and happened upon a brilliant DIY lampshade by a clever lady called Tamara Maynes
She has designed a lamp made entierly out of cardboard.
I have been wanting to replace the horrid white one in our living room for ages so I took her idea, reshaped it slightly to make my own version.
My poor husband Paul, he hinted that it would look nice in one colour, well I did just that till I finished it, stood back and thought, hmm, a bit of colour in the inside would look good, I guess we both got our wish in the end!

Love this! Did you cut out triangles of different-colored cardboard?

very nice. i love the clearness and also the chosen colours. i built it with acrylic glass instead of cardboard so it shines in its colours even more.
