the lovely nataly sent me these shots of my princess and the castle & the flying birds wall decals that are now available on their online shop www.chocovenyl.co.uk. it's exciting to see them printed!
she is completing the butterflies series which will also be out soon

here are a few more of my recent finds, each one makes my heart sing.
thank you for yout question about the maker of the face pot.
it is infact a pepper shaker! i wish i had the salt one, maybe it is a lady!
it is made by "carlton wear' in england.

this article has just come out in new zealands homestyle magazine,

i cant seem to make it readable sorry!
oh yes, i have just worked out that if you enlarge each page you can.

today was one of the first warm days we have had in what seems like forever. this is my favourite tree in our garden, it's blossoms are much later than the others, they will eventually turn into little red crab apples.

i love, love, love this record cover that i discovered in our local op shop this morning.

i am always so inspired by art and design from this era,

i particulaly love the blocks of colour with black outline.

further to my day dreaming of creating a global Ellen G empire, i suddenly had the urge to throw a couple of my designs on t shirts, what do you think?!

carrying on with the cushions idea,

here are some existing designs that i have played around with,

what do you think?

i found this shot of my young lad from a couple of years ago,

it brings back memories!

oops, i've just noticed, my princess has a spotty glove!

dear fellow bloggers. i am currently considering creating a range of cushions for children's rooms and people young at heart.
i have not designed them yet, this red one is a cushion from a collection i created some time ago. do you think cushions featuring some of my new designs would appeal to you? let me know, i appreciate any feed back you have!

here she is! my princess who lives in the castle!

some time ago i had an urge to play around with just colours and shapes.

i really enjoyed this departure from illustration, it was like a breath of fresh air!

if you like them too, you contact hamish@imagevault.co.nz, they have done a lovely job reproducing them as prints on hand crafted, black lacquered box mounts

how exciting! these are now available as large wall decals for you to purchase online at www.chocovenyl.co.uk/birds.html

others will be available soon!
i think these could look good in any room, not just for kids.

how do you create a castle that will look great as a wall decal for a girls room, cut from paper, large enough so that it doesn't have to be enlarged and doesn't need to be sent as art work by post?

answer; make it in 9 pieces, scan them so they can be assembled!

look further down and all will be revealed! the final decal is 86 cm high!

this castle along with a princess, butterflies and birds will soon feature on;  www.chocovenyl.co.uk

it's a wonderful site that sells unique wall decals for kids rooms.

here it is! my 86 cm high castle, now all i have to do is.... the princess!

if you can imagine it, you can create it.

if you can dream it, you can become it.

i love these pieces! they are all junk shop finds except the square "Picasso plate" which i painted a few years ago

one of our biggest cities in new zealand "christchurch" was rocked this morning by a magnitude 7.2 earthquake. i have a good friend living there and she is ok but alot of her possessions have been smashed. living in wellington, we are also expecting a big one, i hope very much it doesn't come.i have so many knick knacks precariously balanced about the house. on that note, i took my weekly trip to the local good will shop and found these beauties, a groovy old record, 50's apron and game.
