now it's computer time
A little sketch
then it's time to cut (the letters are hand cut too)
Starting to take shape

it can be fiddly!
Sunny days, best friends, what a joy!  there's more to come!

(I tore my hair out trying to drag the photos in order, it was impossible, have you found this too?)

Mr Owl revised design

I woke this morning and had a fresh look at my new Mr Owl paper craft. I came to the conclusion that I really needed to make him a little more manly, so I have substituted the flower with simple diamonds, it's better I think.

Mosaic

I thought it would be nice to let you know what I have been up to in the last few days. As they say variety is the spice of life so stepping away from my home studio into my dear friend Nancey's lovely sunny studio has been both a treat and a whole lot of fun!
Next week sees the grand unveiling of 10 large mosaic features that we have created to be installed in the foot path in our little village Eastbourne.
They all depict New Zealand native birds. It's been a huge project that we have been working on in between other projects.
Just when we thought we had completed the project we where asked if we would like to design and make one more for the spot where a little plinth talking about them would be erected.
I designed a 2 meter wide half round  showing our beautiful native Pohutukawa flowers,
here it is nearly finished.
I'll show you the rest soon!
